13. Can I shadow, ski, or snowplow the course prior to the race?

No! You can inspect the course by slipping it with your skis perpendicular to the fall line, if allowed by course officials. If you shadow, ski, or snowplow the course you will be disqualified for that race. In certain conditions, slipping is detrimental to the course.
