Ski Challenge State
Championships |

The 2012 State
Championships will be held on March 3-4 at Giants Ridge.
Every team is invited to participate in the championships. There will
be nine divisions. Teams with kids 16 and under will be placed
in a division according to their medal averages just like the adults
are. Divisions
will be determined after race five of the regular season. Race
times will be determined after week #6.

FEES: $25 per person, per race, pre-paid, $30 if paid at the
door
REGISTRATION:
Register with your team at week #6 and #7 or online after week #5 of
the regular season.
BIBS: New numbers will be given
out at registration to apply to league racing bib.
CHECK IN: Every member is required
to check in a minimum of one half hour prior to race time to pick up
race bib. You can pick up all bibs at one time.
RACE FORMAT: Standard dual race
course, one run in each course. Awards ceremony and door prizes to
follow after each race.
HOW ARE DIVISIONS DETERMINED:
Teams are placed in a division after race #5 by
using the medal average of each racer based on the average handicap
after the best and worst are dropped. The top six racers' points (same
point system as used in leagues) are then added up for a team average
total. The 7th, 8th, or 9th racers may be used to break ties.
Divisions are formed by grouping the teams with similar points
together. Racers must participate in three regular season league races
to be counted for state.
