Tim Pelot
Leaving Minnesota
To all friends, athletes and parents:
I have been here in MN now for going on 4 years. It
started out with a move to MN from Colorado Springs, to
open and operate a sports performance business (Velocity
Sports Performance-Burnsville) here in the south metro
area. Unfortunately, last summer (2009) we had to make
some tough decisions which resulted the closing of the
Velocity business. Since that time, I have taken over the
assets of Velocity and have been operating my own private
performance training service. Making this move following
Velocity provided me with an incredible experience that
has allowed me to tap into the lives of many athletes and
parents here. It has allowed me the opportunity to develop
much more of a personal relationship with my athletes and
parents. Many of these relationships have grown into much
more than a typical trainer/client relationship. I have
come to value these relationships enormously and it is not
easy for me to leave these relationships behind. It has
been fantastic opportunity to have been given the
opportunity to be able to help make a difference in many
adult and student athlete’s lives. It has been a rewarding
and an exciting experience to watch many of the athletes
not only grown up physically, but to experience the
process of individuals developing athletically and listen
to parents and athletes tell their stories of the positive
sports memories that have occurred as a result of sports
preparation(training).
Prior to the start-up of Velocity Sports Performance in
Burnsville, I worked as strength and conditioning coach
for the United States Olympic Committee and just recently
I have been offered an opportunity to go back to this
incredible organization. It is with excitement that I have
accepted this new position, but it is with sadness that I
must leave many of the invaluable relationships that I
have here in MN. In my new role with the United States
Olympic Committee I will serve as a Sports Physiologist
with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning. In this
position, I will be overseeing the training and
development of multiple US national teams out in
California.
Prior to this new opportunity, I was offering coaching
services that went on through the end of summer, but
unfortunately, now I will no longer be able to do this. I
will be assuming my new position in August out in
California. This means that my camps will be cut short
this summer. The last day of training will be July 23rd.
I will no longer be offering my second 4 week camp this
summer (July). It will be reduced to 2 weeks.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or
concerns that you may have with this email. Thank you for
the opportunity to be a part of so many great individuals
lives (athletes and parents). These experiences and
relationships will not be forgotten.
Sincerely,
Tim Pelot
