Everyone is welcome, including kids, to come and participate in the
18th Annual Cup Race
and
Clinic at Wild Mountain. A practice course will be set from 10 am -
noon. Participants can take as many runs as they want in that time.
The Cup Race course will be set for inspection at 12:30 pm with the
race beginning at 1 pm. Ski
Challenge personnel will be at the top of the race hill to help
instruct any new racers on
how it all works. Awards will immediately follow the race.
"The Patricia Lecy Memorial Cup
Race and Practice". This is a day to honor Patricia Lecy,
founder of The Ski
Challenge in 1984. Patricia passed away from Lukemia in fall of
2006. Part of the proceeds from the day will be donated to
St.
Joseph's Home for Children which was
Patricia's
favorite charity.

The Cup Race is set up as a “league vs.
league” format. As you sign up, you will be placed on a team
representing the league that you race with during the regular season.
If you race in more than one league you can choose what league you
want to represent.
If you are new to The
Ski Challenge and haven’t gotten into a league yet, we will place you
randomly on a cup race team. The practice and Cup Race are a great way
to get some warm-up runs through gates and get a race under your belt
before the season starts. Also, if you have friends wondering what The
Ski Challenge is all about, bring them along!
