Giants Ridge
“The Patricia Lecy Individual Championships”. This is a day to honor Patricia Lecy, founder of The Ski Challenge in 1984. Patricia passed away from Leukemia in fall of 2006.
Individual Championships will be held at Giants Ridge on Sunday during our Championships weekend. Everyone is invited to participate.
Cost: $30 per racer ($33 with a credit card)
To Qualify: This race is open to everyone! No need to qualify.
Preregister to run with your age group. You are welcome to show up on Sunday and register for the race, but you will get a bib number at the end of the running order if you are not preregistered.

SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY
- 9 am – Check in – Burnt Onion
- 10 am – Inspection
- 10:30 am – Race 1 (2 runs on Innsbruck)
- 12 pm – Inspection
- 12:30 pm – Race 2 (2 runs on Innsbruck)
- 2 pm – Awards
- Each racer will receive a temporary stretch bib to wear for the day.
Tentative Race Format: Everyone will take a total of four timed runs on Innsbruck. Kids and adults will run together. (age group 18-20 will be in the adult rankings) We will start with the kids age 4-17. Then we will run eldest females, then eldest males, next eldest females, next eldest males, etc. Each of your runs will be compared to the fastest racer on that particular run. The fastest person on each run will be a “0”. You will receive a “handicap” off of them. We will take your best three handicaps to determine rankings.
An Awards Ceremony will follow immediately after the last race of the day.
